Bettie Page was one of Earth's most famous pin-up models during the 1940s and 50s.
On the evening of September 8th, 1951, Bettie was abducted by a group of mysterious attackers and sent to the savage Jungle Planet to be sold as a slave. The machine which was to teleport Page malfunctioned, sending her to a wild rain forest region of the planet. Upon her arrival, she encountered Abu, a native to the region who offered to protect and warn her of the many dangers on this alien world.
After getting into one perilous situation after another, Bettie and Abu managed to find another teleportation machine in a black market city. While Page initially believed the machine was set for New York City, it was only after the teleportation that they discovered it was set for Egypt, circa 64 B.C.
Captured by the locals, Bettie is brought to the tomb of Thoth, where her alluring dance moves awaken the mummified god. Using a nearby torch, Bettie burned the mummy to ashes by catching his wrappings on fire. Those who witnessed her actions deem it to be an offense punishable by death, and she is ordered to buried in a bottomless pit. Abu rescues her, and those who initiated her execution are reprimanded by Cleopatra (who discovers that the time-lost Bettie looks exactly like her).
Cleopatra uses her new "double" to go out and seduce the ruler of Rome, Julius Caesar, so that she can assume control of Egypt and become "The Queen of The Nile". It isn't long until Caesar discover he's being played by two women, and negotiations between the two countries are ended until it is decided through a series of tests which one is truly fit to be his queen.
Bettie beats Cleopatra, and she is named "Queen of The Nile". Her reign is short-lived, however, as one of resident of Jungle Planet (Larry "The Horse" Pogue) arrives and "rescues" Bettie and Abu so they can't disrupt the time stream. Pogue guides them to the center of the Pyramid of the Cheops, where his teleported beam picks them up.
What happened to Bettie Page following these events remain unknown.
Paraphernalia
Equipment
- Flying Belt: Abu gave Bettie a single-engine rocket jetpack (called "the flying belt") during her time on Jungle Planet, which he had stolen from one of the many pirates who pass through his world. Bettie also used it during her "trials" in Egypt.
Weapons
- Pistol: Another item Abu procured from the traders stopping through his homeworld, Bettie used the futuristic laser pistol on Jungle Planet and in Egypt.
