History

Black Noir was created as a direct clone of The Homelander, with refined strain of Compound-V, by Vought-American as a fail-safe to kill Homelander if he ever overstepped his bounds. Noir eventually became a member of The Seven in order to get close to Homelander and more easily kill him if it ever provided necessary.

Going Crazy

However, as years passed and Black Noir was unable to fulfill what he was viewed as his one true purpose in life, he grew increasingly more psychotic as he waited to fulfill his purpose. Black Noir then decided to fabricate his own situation, by framing Homelander for various crimes. Noir commited various atrocities in the Homelander's costume, such as cannibalizing children, murdering women, and raping Becky Butcher then leaving her pregnant.

Plane Incident

During 9/11, The Seven tried to save one of the planes. Black Noir was being carried by Lamplighter and The Deep until the latter got hit by the plane, letting go of Black Noir and letting him fall to the ground. The rest of the team fumbled their attempted rescue mission, killing passengers and crashing the plane as Noir was supposed to act as the plane's replacement pilot. He managed to survive his fall, although the rest of the team didn't understand how he did, as they weren't aware of his clone status.

Herogasm

During the Herogasm superhero retrieve, Black Noir found Wee Hughie, a member of The Boys, in the sewers, he kidnapped him and raped him, leaving Hughie traumatized by the event.

Over the Hill

Eventually at the White House, during Homelander's takeover, Noir revealed his true purpose to Billy Butcher and Homelander. Homelander snapped, but Noir overpowered and killed him. Although victorious, Noir received heavy damage from the battle with his former teammate, and was left disemboweled, missing part of his skull, and with heavy burns across his body. The U.S. military intervened, attacking him with tank and gunfire, furtherly damaging him and, by doing so, allowing Billy to literally crack open his skull with a crowbar and crush his brain thereby finally killing him.

Powers

Black Noir was created to be a more powerful version of the Homelander and presumably possessed all of his abilities, only more developed.

• Superhuman Durability: Black Noir possessed vast resistance to damage and only beings of similar power like Homelander could harm him directly. It took the combined assault of the U.S. Marines and Butcher ripping off a part of his brain to finally kill him.
• Superhuman Strength: Black Noir possessed vast physical strength and was able to dismember the Homelander in battle.
• Superhuman Speed: Black Noir was able to move at superhuman speed.

Abilities

• Intellect: Black Noir was able to manipulate The Boys and The Seven for years and put them on a collision path in order to get his chance at killing the Homelander.
