Britt Reid (Earth-UU0114)

Britt Reid was born as the scion of a publishing empire, becoming the owner of The Daily Sentinel newspaper and later the masked figure known as the Green Hornet for a few years. Along with his crime-fighting partner Kato, he posed as a criminal mastermind to gain direct access to the city's criminal element and destroy it from within.

Right after Britt gave a speech to his workers at The Daily Sentinel on how the printed media shouldn't die, Lenore Case (Britt's secretary) brought to his attention the apparent disappearance of their science reporter, Candice Carbajal, which Britt took upon himself to investigate. He later went to Kansas, Candice's last known location, on the Stinger along with Kato, where he decided that they should go undercover.

Both later checked the hotel room in which Candice was registered in, there they found the whole room was wrecked as well as a box diapers. Kato later heard a sound and alerted Reid right before they both were attacked by an "Alien Astronaut". ^[1].

Britt tried to reason with the creature, saying that they could work together to solve the mystery, unfortunately, the Alien didn't believe him and tried to murder the team before Kato blasted the Alien with a missile from the Black Beauty. Britt and Kato both got inside the vehicle and drove far away in order to take the fight away from the town's populated areas, but they were found once again by the creature right after they started to piece together the clues of their mystery. Kato manage to temporary knock and later capture the Alien thanks to another weapon inside the Black Beauty.

The creature later revealed himself as a British Astronaut named Reginald Acheworthy whom was changed by some cosmic rays into his new form while he returned to earth in pursuit of the ship that originally crashed his space station. Reginald later tried to escape again but was beaten by both Kato and Reid who left him on the trunk of the Black Beauty where he was sedated. The duo later found a secret facilty in a ravine. ^[2].
