Camilla became Empress of Shareen after taking over Pha's kingdom. After doing so, she held Pha in a cell and had her fight Valeros. After the fight, Camilla had her warrior, Red Sonja fight Xanesha's warrior, Valeros, and while they were fighting, Valeros noticed Merisiel stood next to Camilla, and was thus stabbed by Sonja.
Former Queen of Shareen, Pha, had described Camilla as being a killer, and also adding that the people of Shareen are also killers.
