Synopsis for "Episode One: Night And Day"Edit

In a warehouse on the outskirts of Century City, a meeting of the crime families of Don Fannelli and Oni Jumma is just getting underway as The Green Hornet slips in from a high open window. The topic of this meeting is a truce between the two opposing criminal organizations, and a potential partnership that may lead to the downfall of the Green Hornet, their common enemy. Fannelli is reluctant to accept such an offer, seeing as how no-one in the past five years has been able to touch the Hornet, and begins to leave the meeting. Before the Don can depart, The Green Hornet makes his presence known, and Kato bust in with the Black Beauty.

Using a combination of martial arts and their various non-lethal weaponry, the two vigilantes take down the thugs and capture Fannelli and Jumma. Quickly leaving the scene before police can arrive, the Hornet and Kato discuss what lies in store for them now that the city's last two crime families will be dissolved. Kato states that after seeing the happy life that Britt Reid has started, he's returning to his homeland of Japan to start his own family. Arriving at the Reid Estate, the partners separate for the night. As Britt peaks into a bedroom to check on his sleeping son, he feels the poke of a gun barrel against his back, swiftly disarming and putting his would-be assailant in a choke hold. To Britt's surprise, its his wife Janet, who playfully tried sneaking up on her "masked man". Britt then tells her that with the arrest of Jumma and Fannelli, The Green Hornet is now officially retired. When Janet says she's worried that Britt Junior would get "delusions of grandeur" upon learning that his father was the infamous vigilante, Britt Senior promises her that he'll never let his son in on his secret life.

Years pass, and the little Britt Junior is now a young man of his 20s. One morning, he awakens to discover his girlfriend packing up and leaving him after forgetting their four year anniversary the previous day. Jules puts it bluntly to Britt that he's amounted to nothing in his life, having no initiative to follow in his father's footsteps despite numerous opportunities being offered to him, and that she's had enough of sitting and watching him waste his potential. Having chased Julie out the apartment in his underwear, Britt decides in his hungover state to "moon" the paparazzi waiting outside, angered by the loss of his girlfriend.

Later, inside the Daily Sentinel office, Britt Senior receives a photograph of his son's midday "outburst", dryly commenting that at least his son is in shape.
