Jormungandr was one of the last in the tribe of Buri Gods still alive by the 21st Century. With the assistance of his sister, Mistress Hel, Jormungandr made an attempt to bring about the cataclysmic event known as "Ragnarok" in the early 21st Century.
As Ceutotech's "Doctor Anderson"
By the year 2015, Jormungandr (in a human form going by the name of George Anderson) was a leading doctor at the Ceutotech Pharmaceuticals company. Using research initially discovered by Dr. Leonard Price while developing the Dream Probe, "Anderson" created The Fear Plague using reverse engineered Dream Probe technology to instill nightmares into the minds of those in its range[1].
Death
Jormungandr's activities did not go unnoticed, catching the attention of "Evil Ernie" Fairchild. Mary Young, and Purgatori. While confronting "Anderson" in Ceutotech, the three walked directly into Jormungander and Mistress Hel's death-trap[2]. Eventually managing to escape, the trio battled Jormungander in his serpent form[3]. Purgatori, who had been swallowed by the Norse god during the fight, crawled through Jormungandr's body and bit into his heart and began drinking his blood, killing him instantly.
After the battle, Purgatori took Jormungandr's body and extracted all of the monster's blood, placing it in wooden wine barrels for later consumption. Jormungandr's head was stuffed and mounted above the barrels containing his blood in Purgatori's wine cellar[4].

Notes
- The Jormungandr appearing in Dynamite's various Chaos comics is based on the character of the same name from Norse Mythology. Like the Dynamite version, he is the brother of Fenrir and Hel.

- Though he would not physically appear until Alice Cooper Vs. Chaos! #3, Jormungandr is first mentioned by Mistress Hel in Chaos! #3.
