Kulan Gath is a powerful enemy of Red Sonja. He has also ended up battling the likes of Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Avengers.
He was summoned to the modern day when a security guard touched Gath's amulet, which allowed Gath to possess him. He was defeated by Spider-Man and Red Sonja (who was possessing Mary Jane Watson). Peter Parker was able to resist Kulan Gath when he tried to tempt him to put the amulet on, and so he threw it into the ocean, thinking no one could get.
The amulet resurfaced, and many years later, Kulan Gath returned, this time he possessed Senator Glass. Yet again he battled Spider-Man and Red Sonja, but he was able to obtain the Venom Symbiote, which he used to become even more powerful, until Eddie Brock was able to get the symbiote back and Sonja and Spider-Man defeated him.
