The Green Hornet

Lenore "Casey" Case was the secretary to Britt Reid Sr. at the Daily Sentinel following her aunt's departure from the position[1].

In the Fall of 1941, Britt revealed to her that he was the notorious masked criminal known as The Green Hornet. After this revelation, Britt asked Casey to "become his brain", to shift through hundreds of thousands of cataloged newspapers and film reels to find him information he desired to help with his carrier as the Hornet[2]. At one point, Casey was sent out into the field by Britt to get any information she could from Miriam Fulton on the whereabouts of her father, Hayes Fulton[3].

After Miriam Fulton was killed, Britt and Kato staged "The death of The Green Hornet" outside of a warehouse. Casey took it upon herself to provoke Britt out of this sudden retirement by stealing the Hornet costume and Hornet Gun and robbing a bank with it. Britt confronted Casey during the robbery, but she ended up surrendering to police so the real Green Hornet could continue his work without police interference[4]. Casey was eventually released from jail after Britt and Kato tampered with evidence shortly before her trial[5].
Not much is known about Casey's life after her release from jail except at some point she had gone back to being Britt's secretary at the Daily Sentinel office building, and was his current secretary shortly before his death[6].
Trivia
- Casey was initially depicted as having blonde hair in her appearances in The Green Hornet: Year One series, though The Green Hornet and the Reign of The Demon series would later show her with red hair.
