Linda was the girlfriend of Ash Williams until their fateful trip to The Cabin, where she became a Deadite and Ash was forced to kill her.
Following her "death", Linda came back to life as a Deadite on several occasions to attempt to kill Ash, but was always defeated[1][2].
A few years after her death, Linda's spirit visited Ash under the guise of "The Ghost of Christmas Future", where she showed him a world where he never existed[3].
At an unknown point in time, Ash once made an attempt to stop Linda from ever going to The Cabin via time travel. Though he was successful in his mission, this caused what he would later describe as a "ripple in the time-stream", and Ash was forced to undo his actions[4].
