Luke's first Green Hornet costume.
Luke Reid was the lead guitarist of a band called "Grassy Knoll" until a mysterious man gave Luke a series of clues to follow. After following these clues and decoding their hidden messages, Luke discovered that his biological father was John Reid, the owner of the Daily Sentinel newspaper who had recently been murdered. Luke also learned that the mantle of The Green Hornet was passed down from generation to generation in the Reid family.
Luke decided to continue the Reid family legacy and became a new Green Hornet, with police detective Joe Shek becoming Luke's "Kato".
