  • Hi there! I'm SilverFlight, and I'm setting up a wiki for Red Sonja. The wiki could really use some help with expanding its information, and what better way than with users who know about the series? So I'm inviting you to come edit on the Red Sonja Wiki. Your contributions in setting it up would be greatly appreciated, and kickstart the fandom for fans of Conan, Dynamite, and comics in general! How does that sound? Please let me know what you think!

    • Painkiller Jane's not a Dynamite character. She had 1 series, that was it. She's a PaperFilms property.

And The Boys aren't a single character.

Not sure about the rest. Elvira, maybe. I just don't really want to go through the hassle of changing it. If we get enough demand for it to be redone, then maybe.

  • Got a quick question for you: So, when I added the "Darkman vs Army of Darkness" series a few weeks ago, I said it was in it's own universe, isolated from the main Army of Darkness books. I did this because in one issue of the main Army books set on Earth-818793, Darkman is a fictional character since the poster for the movie is on a DVD box. This got me thinking about if I should add Darkman as one of the characters that appear in said issue and give him his own page for 818793 or if I should just let it be. Thoughts?

    • If it appears on a poster, do something like these:
Vampirella/Shadowhawk: Creatures of the Night Vol 1 1
      Vampirella Vol 1 6

In the Vampirella/Shadowhawk crossover, The Rook can be seen on a poster. For the appearances section, I have included a link to The Rook Disambiguation page (simply called 'The Rook'). Important to note that it should have 'Template:A' used before it, just include the link.

As for Vampirella #6, it had a poster advertising The Boys, which had Billy Butcher on it. For this, I added a link to William J. Butcher (Earth-UU011), but again, did not include the 'Template:A'.

As Darkman does not have a disambiguation page, I suggest you use the same method I used for Vampirella #6. Just link to the Darkman page, but do not add any appearance templates, only 'Template:Picture Only' after the link has been added.

  • Greetings once again! I was getting ready to add some alternate Ashes to the Ash Disambiguation page, but I was curious of you were going to do like the Marvel Wiki and have a Temporary Reality Number system because most of the Ashes I was going to add don't have official names for their worlds. Should I go ahead and add them and just leave out the parentheses or wait until you have some sorta system set up for this type of thing?

    • Alright! I'll remember that for next time. Another question while I got your attention, what should we do about alternate futures of Earth-818793? I was reading the second Army of Darkness/Xena story and the visit a future of 818793 that could have been, and i'm sure it's not the only story Dynamite has done involving that type of thing, so I was just curious if whenever a page is created about that comic if that future should be it's own world entirely or just labled as a possible future.

    • Depends on circumstances. Red Sonja Vol 4 has Sonja in the present day, which is her future, but not anyone else's, so the events in that will be happening, whereas a possible future is something which may happen. So if it is a possible future which isn't a certainty, then it would be considered as another universe. If it is set in the present day, then it would be the same universe. If it's in the past however, it might also be another universe, purely because the changes to events will probably not take affect in anything else.

  • Hello again! I was wondering if I could use the Disambiguation Template you have created for the Dynamite Wiki on another Wiki I work on. I didn't want to just copy and paste it over without your permission since you are the creator.

  • Hello! Let me start off by saying you've been doing an amazing job at cleaning up this Wikia, it certainly looks a lot better than it did when I first started editing here last May when there was 15 or maybe 20 pages total. Anyway, to cut to the chase: since you seem to be the new head honcho 'round here, and somewhat of knowledgeable about this sort of thing: what are the "rules" about publications featuring Earth-818793? Let me explain: I saw that you (I assume you) asked the Dynamite Twitter if the old 60s Vampirella books took place in the same universe as their new Vampirella stories, and they replied "yes" and you added it to the Wikia page. I saw the edit and got curious to see if there was any evidence to back that claim up (Dynamite has a really bad history of not keeping their continuity history in order), so I turned to Wikipedia, which said that the old Vampirella stories takes place in the same world as the Eerie and Creepy magazines thanks to a crossover they did. Since both those magazines existed before Vampirella's first appearance (Creepy being the oldest), would that book be considered the first appearance of Earth-818793, or since this a Dynamite Wikia, should we credit Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes #1 as the first appearance of Earth-818793 since that was Dynamite's first comic that took place there?

    • Thesetwo images come from Army of Darkness Vol 1 7 . I've never read the Monster War series itself, so I just went off what was presented in that Army issue.

    • I compared the second image with Monster War #4, and it appears to be set in the same universe. Dracula was indeed stabbed in the forehead with a silver cross, before being decapitated.

  • Hello, I am sorry I have not addressed all your requests. My health is not so good lately and I am still waiting on a specialist to help me find what is wrong. along with numerous other problems my memory is taking a pretty big hit, so I ask you to bear with me. At this time the wiki's are about the only thing I can do to take my mind off the pain. To help me make sure your requests are taken care of please leave me links to whatever is not working and if your issue is not addressed quickly feel free to ask again and I will address it.

    • My first Red Sonja comic was in Marvel Feature Vol 2 1 in Nov 1975, although I have only been officially collecting since 1977. Yeah, Simone seemed to be writing about a drunken bisexual whore.

    • It's a shame really. Dynamite had good, strong female characters, with lead roles as well, and it was because of Red Sonja, that Dynamite became one of the major comic companies, despite only forming in 2005. So Gail Simone's take on Sonja is a let down to all of Dynamite, and possibly comics.

Not sure if I like what she did with Swords of Sorrow either. A huge crossover including many of the female characters, and mainly female writers and artists. To me, that comes across as sexist. Still, I haven't read those.
