Trivia[]
- The uses of Necronomicon as a literary device was originally created by real life author H.P. Lovecraft for use in his loosely connected body of stories that would later by termed the Cthulhu Mythos. The book was first mentioned by name in the 1924 short story "The Hound", but didn't physically appear until his 1927 story "History of The Necronomicon". The version that appears in comics published by Dynamite Entertainment is based on a later conception of the Necronomicon that appeared in director Sam Raimi's Evil Dead film series.
- In Prophecy #2, Abdul Alhazred is miscredited as the author of the Necronomicon of Earth-818793.
