Omicron was a space colony in the Galactic Federation. It was the home of many scientists and their families, including the colony's director, Dr. Jarrod Keplar, and his two young children, Jace and Jan. Omicron was eventually decimated during a space pirate attack, which was seemingly led by Tansut, but was actually ordered by Robo Corp. The colony appeared to be relatively defenseless in the face of attack, and Dr. Keplar's distress signal to Galactice Patrol received minimal response.

When Tansut and his crew raided the colony, the murdered Dr. Keplar and then immediately began to search his lab for Blip, a monkey containing an advanced neural implant, which the pirates' benefactor had placed a 50,000 credit bounty on. However, the pirates were quickly defeated by Space Ghost.
