In the Hyborian Age, Sonja and Zo'ran were seeking a rumored treasure, but Zo'ran double-crossed her and left her with the owner of the ship they both sailed in to find said temple. After the ship owner tried to kill Sonja but failed, she took him as a prisoner in order to find the temple.
On the Temple, Sonja saw that Zo'ran died and was affected by some kind of plague that kept him moving, she quickly killed her on and off ally and quickly realized that the plague was expanding, being square in the sights of an undead horde with nowhere to turn, she climbed the steps of the temple only to find a creature that offered his help.
