Synopsis for "The Return of Kulan Gath Part Six: The Fall"Edit

The Bard of Quillo records an ancient story and the fall of Kulan Gath. On the battlefield there is snow, approaching blizzard conditions, and Osin is in combat against, as he calls him, the hunter, a shrouded man in his wolfskin. They are slashing at each other with their swords and axe. Blyke intercedes, and helps Osin. Kaleval continues his combat with the demons. There is a short sword in the middle of Kaleval’s back, and he proclaims to his faithful beast, “ ride to the next world, and there we’ll meet again! I have slaughter at my hand on this plane!” His horse has a pike in his neck as well.

Red Sonja Vol 1 17 conflict

The combat continues in the fortress and the son of the dark god, Borat-Na Fori, chides Red Sonja “how is it that happiness comes to you as it is at the price of your family! of your chastity?” He claims that he was responsible for the slaughter of her mother and father, but he was not yet born. He states her virginal blood was spilled on the land by his will. He explains to her that the price you pay for the joy you feel now is from the blood that was spilled. He states she would not have this joy at this moment apart from that shed blood. It seems to affect her emotionally, but she resumes her charge against him. Kaleval breaks through the wall with some demons following behind him. Sonja evades a deathstroke from the Borat. Kaleval address him as the Dark God, and challenges him. Kaleval, slings and entwines his double headed axe, that has a chain attached to it, around Borat. The tip itself pierces his right jugular.

With an explosive repulsive verbal demand, Borat-Na Fori blasts back Kaleval. With that Kaleval, falls face down on the ground and the Borat pulls the sword from his back. And in the wound places his foot, which seems to penetrate his flesh. The Borat-Na Fori pulls out his heart. Suumaro tries to hold Sonja back. As she tears into the Borat-Na Fori and decapitated him with her sword, that Kaleval had retrieved for her.

Red Sonja Vol 1 17 Borat death affects hunter

Outside Osin is getting the best of the hunter in the battle, but abruptly he cuts off the left hand of Osin. This happens as the Borat-Na Fori is slain, and this causes the hunter to drop his sword and cry out “master.“ Blyke now holds Osin back, who wants to finish once for all his old foe, the shrouded hunter, that he has faced more than once. The collapsing fortress again separates him from his adversary.

Red Sonja Vol 1 17 Kulan Gath

Suddenly, with the slaying of the Borat-Na Fori, Kulan Gath exclaimes “Yes! Yes! The ultimate sacrifice has been made the blood of a god has released me. Osin, Blyke and some men on a mammoth come through the breach of the fortress to get Suumaro and Red Sonja. Kulan belittles the fallen Borat-Na Fori and he states “This foolish little “god” thought it was the master, he was but a pawn as are the others, little Sonja, and her goddess!” He claims he mapped out this for an age.
