Synopsis for "Animals"

Jhangs the tavern owner asks Valera and his men not to still things as the demon heard from Gath demands submission to as he says “the one true god.” Alert offers safe passage for Jhangs and his family as the building begins to collapse she exclaims “ bones of Gora!” Valera invites Spike too, though they were just involved in a brawl.He declines to be under a woman and she replied “suit yourself you old fool- see you in the rings of Hell!”

As they board the ship Bock commands Horseslave ( a dog) to get the horses going to propel the boat —- Scorpion ( technologically advanced system the horses pushed an axel & gear that turn paddles on the side). While in the lake Sonja encounters a sea beast who flees from her after she grabs a bone from the dead sea god. After the heroic event the fish men pledge to help them.

The fishmen tell them that perhaps they may be able to enlist the help of the El Hazar, ( dream priest, the black one) who were once sacred clerics, that seem to gain magics from dreams. Ja questions the likelihood of help, and the reply to Sonja if you dream they will help.

The captives in Leijona are heard before the ruler and Suumaro explains to them how life is sacred and they offer animals and thank offerings. The cycle of life and death is explained and the leader looks and surprising Suumaro states “ the circle of life.” He then further bellows blasphemy and had them taken away. Osin is explaining to Caska that Suumaro is a prince and Blyke a poet.

Sonja and her men are given a map from Fion and blessed water that controls the hazardous plants. Some part animal and carnivores plant creatures eat yen. Lhee accidentally spills some of the blessed water one one and it runs away. Sonja tells them to use the water and not their swords. Once the water was depleted the jungle started to engulf them, then the El Hazar appear descending from above.

Osin and Suumaro face a trial in the theater and the gift given by Shri-Alar. The animals don’t think it is wrong to hunt other animals for meat or clothes, but they do think it is wrong to offer as a sacrifice. There is a quick shift to Gathia and Jhangs is sacrificing many of his fellow citizens to Gath, as disobedience or delayed obedience. Also, on the Scorpion Valera wants a masked man (Calibas) to show how she meets her end.
