Synopsis for "Hand of Fate"Edit

Red Sonja finds herself in a tavern and is treated in a distasteful chauvinistic way by a series of male provocateurs. Eventually the largest of them, Rik, approaches her after she easily subdued the previous men, and she throws her sword between his legs, perhaps missing his manhood, which was fortunate for the moment. A young boy, Ander, knows who she is, and wants to enlist her services to find his father’s treasure. Andre tells Sonja that Gorkon whom Sonja smashed a mug into his face with his introduction to her, was the one who told Ander his father was killed by pirates.

Sonja and Ander make their way on a small boat to the Baracha Isles where the treasure awaits. Eventually they find a cavern with an illuminated chest which only contained a fate stone that showed one their fate or that of others. Desmond, Ander’s Father, tells him his murder was Gorkon. Shortly after that the group of pirates including Rik, arrive to take the treasure and life of Ander.

Pirates after Ander and Sonja Vol 1 7

Sonja takes down most of the pirates, including Rik who she actually caused to fall on his own large double bladed ax, In the end Ander tells Gorkon that the prize and treasure that his dad left for him was Gorkon himself as he thrust his sword through his thorax. Ander and Sonja are left with the ship of Gorkon to sell in Kush.
