Little is known about Sonja Spadarossa's past, but she seems to have been raised by her father who cared for her and even got her a pet cat as a child, which is what eventually caused Sonja to hate cats.
She is the captain of a pirate ship. She once helped a woman named Elizabeth against Victor Frankenstein, who was Elizabeth's ex-lover. Victor was plotting to take over the world and had been creating monsters from human corpses, including Elizabeth's. Eventually, Sonja and Elizabeth managed to defeat Victor and the surviving monsters became their allies.
