Steven Rogers was the President of the United States of America for a while before a zombie contagion started turning many into Zombies. Colonel America was a member of the Avengers and was one of the Avengers who confronted Ash Williams when he ended up in their universe. After coming across Ash for the second time, Colonel America ordered Spider-Man to take Ash away while the other Avengers try to stop Sentry from harming anyone else. Sentry over powers Colonel America and infects him, and in turn, he infects Spider-Man.
