The Master is an alien from another world which ended up on Earth, and it was worshipped as a god. Eventually, people forgot about it, and since then, it sought to be adored by the world. The Mer-Men began to worship and adore it, and they served it.
The Master was seemingly killed when it attacked Jana Sky-Born, but she tore through its tentacle and shot it in the eye with a spear gun.
