The first Vampire came about after the Yag-Ath Vermellus ended up on Earth. Since then, Vampires would bite their prey, and turn them into Vampires, if they were not killed in the process. Vampires are granted abilities such as Immortality, Shapeshifting and Superhuman Senses, but they become sensitive to sunlight. They also generally have a paler complexion than before they were a Vampire.
Other sources suggest Vampires were the spawn of Lilith and Demons after Lilith was forbidden from re-entering the Garden of Eden as she did not submit to Adam, her husband. As a result, she began fornicating with Demons on the banks of the River Styx, and her children were what is now referred to as a Vampire.

- Hypnosis - Some, not all, Vampires can hypnotise their victims.
